A Hidden Gem in Pokhara: The Little Tibet Cafe Tucked away inside the Tibetan refugee camp in Pokhara, The Little Tibet Cafe is one of those rare finds that you almost don’t want to share—because part of its magic lies in how untouched it feels. It’s a bit removed from the city center, so I took a bike ride there—and honestly, the journey itself was half the charm. Winding roads, peaceful landscapes, and that crisp Pokhara air set the tone for what turned out to be an incredibly soulful afternoon. The cafe is small but beautiful, serving up authentic Tibetan delicacies—momos, ramen, chowmein—the kind of food that feels like a warm hug after a long ride. Everything tasted homemade, hearty, and deeply comforting. Right outside the cafe, you’ll find a row of antique shops selling local Tibetan jewelry, shawls, and handicrafts. And here’s the real kicker: they’re way more affordable than anything you’ll find in Kathmandu or even central Pokhara. I shopped like a maniac and didn’t even feel guilty. Since it’s not overrun with tourists, the whole area—especially the refugee camp—feels incredibly quiet, calm, and respectful. After lunch, I walked through the camp, soaking in the tranquil surroundings, traditional homes, prayer flags fluttering, and the breathtaking view of the mountains. It was meditative, almost surreal. If you’re looking for something off the beaten track—quiet, cultural, affordable, and beautiful—take a bike, ride out to The Little Tibet Cafe, eat well, shop smart, and let yourself slow down. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after the trip is over.

Ma go to restaurant for good coffee and veg noodles. The manager and the staffs are good and nice. Their taste is delicious and specially affogato, brownie with ice cream, veg noodles and coffee is ma go to order. Only thing that need to take look is time management as they takes much time for the order, specially momo.

Delicious food for a decent price. Not expensive at all. We tried buff & chicken momo and keema (ground buffalo) noodles. The food was spicy, exactly what we wanted. This is the best momo place we've visited in Pokhara. Loved the food and their hospitality.

The most wonderful place you'll find in Pohkara. Visited this place pretty much every day for the best coffee you'll ever had, and gorged myself on the ridiculously amazing food. Seriously, their entire menu is unmatched. The staff here are some of the most wonderful people I've ever met and make me want to return to Nepal just to see them all again

Delicious food, friendly staffs and owner, good music, perfect ambience, very neat and clean, fast service, cozy and very reasonable price. Loved all the dishes. Tibetan sausage, brownie and ice cream, citi momo, fried rice, tingmo & shabtak, fried rice, everything they serve, all are superb and vummy. Varieties of fresh juices, drinks and hot beverages too. If you are in Pokhara, you definitely must visit this cafe once. But avoid wednesday if you are looking for non-veg options because they serve only veg dishes on Wednesdays.
